Often referred to as Chief of Staff, the Estate Manager will work closely with the principals and will look after the daily running of a large/multi property estate. They will organize all staffing issues; manage budgets, oversea construction, manage contractors, oversea development projects and private events. They will also act as a point of contact for the principals.

The role of the House Manager is similar to that of an Estate Manager but on a smaller scale. The House Manager will be responsible for managing a large home on a daily basis and will pre-empt and anticipate the needs of the principals. They will also supervise all household staff, welcome guests hospitably and manage the household budget. They will also keep up to date inventories for wine and silver. They will oversee contractors and will often perform butler duties as and when required.

This role is a confidant who works directly with the male principal of the home and often acts as a support network to him. This role is often varied and can include; light cleaning work inside and outside the property, personal provisioning, butler duties, light cooking, driving and errand running.

A Laundress is highly skilled and knowledgeable with garments and fine fabrics and will keep your clothing in tip top condition. They will repair and clean all garments and will keep your wardrobes in immaculate condition. A wardrobe manager will create inventories of your clothing and accessories and will log all clothing activity, particularly useful if you have a hectic social calendar. We can also provide training to your Laundry staff on how to create an electronic interactive wardrobe inventory. Perfect for a busy travelling family.

The one who keeps your home looking like a showhome. We can also find you a multi skilled housekeeper that can cook, assist with childcare or administration.

House Manager Duties & responsibilities

Diary Management and communication;

  • Ensuring team has daily update on what lies ahead -ensuring family are kept up to date regularly with any issues and progress on getting issues resolved.
  • Planning ahead with a 2-week rota.

First point of contact for all visitors and contractors;

  • Meet and greet all visitors by providing a personal welcome.
  • Ensuring meeting spaces and the client facing areas are always presentable and any faults or issues are reported in a timely manner and are dealt with asap.
  • Ensuring transportation is arranged for all guests as required

Ensure the house is appropriately stocked;

  • Carrying out periodic audits of household stock items.
  • Ensure each room is appropriately stocked.
  • Ordering all cleaning materials to enable the team to undertake their roles.

Project Management of House Maintenance;

  • Maintaining and updating household manuals.
  • Scheduling home maintenance and repair work and supervising the project and any contractors on site.
  • Ensuring projects remain on track.

Team Management;

  • Supervision of other household staff, such as housekeepers, private chefs, groundsman.
  • Manage and maintain correct staffing levels at all times, planning for holidays and sicknesses.
  • Assisting housekeeping team with cleaning duties and overseeing their work to ensure house is maintained to the highest standards.

FULL TIME PRIVATE CHEF - OXFORDSHIRE

Hours of Work

During Covid | Monday-Friday | 10am – 6pm

The family enjoy cooking for themselves at weekends but will require prepared ingredients to enable them to do so, some pre-weekend preparation may be requested.

Post Covid/Normal Days/Hours | Monday-Friday | 7am -7pm

With a break in the afternoon, must be flexible and willing to work a weekend when there are guests and also some evenings if there are dinner parties or guests.

 Position Overview

  • Duties will include Breakfast, lunch, preparing an evening meal and supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen (including sourcing and purchasing kitchen supplies and equipment).
  • Chef will also be responsible for liaising with suppliers and taking care of grocery shopping.
  • Chef will be primarily cooking for the family, along with serving food and beverages throughout the day.
  • Chef will also oversee planning, preparing and cooking menus for parties and events – so will be required to accurately estimate quantities of ingredients required, based on the number of guests.

Candidates must have a very good understanding of Nutrition and what Healthy living entails. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and the ingredients used, while showing they are capable of catering for various dietary requirements (including food intolerances and working with health restrictions) while showing they can embrace the restrictions while still being creative. Candidates must be able to cater to step up to the plate, and cook to a dinner party standard when required, but be happy cooking simple home-styled but healthy family favorites.

Candidates must have high standards in themselves, and be highly flexible in their approach, showing they can deal with change at short notice.

FULL TIME LIVE IN HOUSEKEEPER - SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE

Role Description

This wonderful role will be working for a couple based at their exquisite country home in Oxfordshire.

The role is Live-In with accommodation provided in the form of an independent property within the grounds.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient running and presentation of the residence. The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised, adaptable and pro-active, with an excellent eye for detail. This role would be ideally suited to a single professional with no commitments. As a person, you will need to be confident, have great communication skills and be able to integrate seamlessly within the dynamic of the home. You must be able to drive and ideally have your own mode of transport as the house is in a rural location.

Your working week will be Thursday – Monday and flexibility will be required to accommodate the schedule of the Principal’s.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full responsibility for the cleanliness of the home and interior furniture
  • Take care of fine fabrics and upholstery by using specialist cleaning products
  • Ensure the house is always stocked and well provisioned, informing the principals of items that need ordering etc.
  • Manage the laundry, including washing, ironing, organising any dry cleaning and wardrobe management
  • Ensure the beds are beautifully made each morning and turned down in the evening
  • Be on hand to offer help and co-ordination when the Principals are entertaining
  • Prepare breakfast set up each morning and assist with formal table set ups
  • Occasionally prepare light meals and be on hand to make breakfast requests

  • Refresh rooms throughout the day and after use

Role Description

This weekend Housekeeping role will be working for a family who have multiple properties, one in Central London and the other in rural Oxfordshire.

This role will cover both properties and you will be required to travel with the Principal depending on where they are residing at the weekend.

Whilst working in the London residence, the role is Live-out and you will commute daily to the property where you will work alone. When you are required to work at the country home in Oxfordshire, accommodation will be provided for you and you will be working alongside the Head Housekeeper.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient running and presentation of the principal’s home. The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised, adaptable and pro-active, with an excellent eye for detail. You will need to be confident, have great communication skills and be able to integrate seamlessly within the dynamic of the home.

You must have experience of working within a private home and be comfortable with taking direction. Due to the rural location of the country residence, a full driving licence and owning their own vehicle would be beneficial, although it is not essential to the role.

The role will be working Saturday & Sunday and will include caring for and servicing both family and guests. It will be especially necessary to have the skills and experience to work at a fast pace. There are often guests staying at the Oxfordshire residence which could include up to 30 people. Their comfort is paramount. You must be confident in dealing with both family and guests, with laying and clearing tables, serving and entertaining throughout the day.

You must all be comfortable around dogs as feeding and occasional walking may be required.

There is also the possibility of occasional overtime at ad-hoc points throughout the year.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient running and presentation of the principal’s homes. The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised, adaptable and pro-active, with an excellent eye for detail. You must be confident in your ability, have great communication skills and be able to integrate seamlessly yet discreetly with the family. The Principals are based overseas so the homes must be ready and presented for last minute arrivals.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a 5* Hotel, Private Yacht or Private Residence for a UHNW family. You must have exacting standards and present the principal’s home in the best possible way at all times. You must be discreet, professional and immaculately presented at all times.

Your working hours will be discussed at interview, but we envisage these to be over a period of 5 days per week with a flexible approach to your work.

Additional responsibilities include:
