Often referred to as Chief of Staff, the Estate Manager will work closely with the principals and will look after the daily running of a large/multi property estate. They will organize all staffing issues; manage budgets, oversea construction, manage contractors, oversea development projects and private events. They will also act as a point of contact for the principals.

The role of the House Manager is similar to that of an Estate Manager but on a smaller scale. The House Manager will be responsible for managing a large home on a daily basis and will pre-empt and anticipate the needs of the principals. They will also supervise all household staff, welcome guests hospitably and manage the household budget. They will also keep up to date inventories for wine and silver. They will oversee contractors and will often perform butler duties as and when required.

This role is a confidant who works directly with the male principal of the home and often acts as a support network to him. This role is often varied and can include; light cleaning work inside and outside the property, personal provisioning, butler duties, light cooking, driving and errand running.

A Laundress is highly skilled and knowledgeable with garments and fine fabrics and will keep your clothing in tip top condition. They will repair and clean all garments and will keep your wardrobes in immaculate condition. A wardrobe manager will create inventories of your clothing and accessories and will log all clothing activity, particularly useful if you have a hectic social calendar. We can also provide training to your Laundry staff on how to create an electronic interactive wardrobe inventory. Perfect for a busy travelling family.

The one who keeps your home looking like a showhome. We can also find you a multi skilled housekeeper that can cook, assist with childcare or administration.

We are looking for a full-time Houseman to work for a family based from their Belgravia apartment. The ideal candidate will be a complete all-rounder with strong lateral thinking and a can-do attitude with a demonstrable history of successful service working in a similar role.

Duties include:

  • Running errands
  • Light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Small repairs and liaising with contractors
  • Basic garden care
  • Various, unspecified tasks – key is a ‘can do’ attitude

This position is live-out and travel may occasionally be required.

The successful applicant must be comfortable around dogs – the principal owns three dogs who will be present, but who have their own keeper.

FULL TIME – LIVE OUT HOUSEKEEPER, BELGRAVIA, LONDON

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Housekeeper to work in a large lateral apartment in Belgravia.

The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised and be able to work using your own initiative.

You must be well presented and able to think quickly on your feet. Attention to detail is very important as the principals have very high standards of cleanliness and expect the home to be immaculately presented at all times.

You must be able to demonstrate loyal behaviour with a history of longevity in a similar role.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Be able to manage the wardrobes

This wonderful role will be working for a family of 5 based at their exquisite home in the region of Lugano, Switzerland.

The ideal candidate will be a young, dynamic, energetic and modern-day Italian chef who is on trend with the culinary world. You must be passionate about healthy eating and providing nutritional goodness through your cooking. You must be able to provide delicious Mediterranean food with an Italian influence. You will also provide delicious meals for all other household employees.

The Chef is required to source fresh, organic produce from local markets and only use the finest ingredients to make your dishes and your style of cooking must be inventive but not overly fussy. The food must be delicious, healthy, nutritional and inspiring family cuisine; however, you must have the confidence and capability to provide an exquisite dining experience when the principals are hosting special events.

This role is full time but shared with one other chef with a working pattern of two weeks on followed by two weeks off.

During your two weeks of working, you will cover the entire day of service and accommodation will be provided during this period.

FULL TIME – LIVE IN BUTLER. SWITZERLAND.

Full time Live-In Butler required for private residence in the Lugano region of Switzerland.

This is a new role working for a UHNW Family based from their beautiful country home.

The Butler will provide exceptional levels of hospitality to the principal family and their guests and take full responsibility of presenting first class service standards amongst the team.

You will be responsible for setting beautiful table presentations, serving at the table, meeting and greeting guests, serving refreshments, occasional meal preparation when the chef is not on duty and general household and Butler duties which will include caring for the silver, managing the wine cellar, and ensuring the entertaining rooms are immaculately presented at all times.

You must have an exceptional eye for detail and be willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved with whatever needs doing to ensure the principal’s home is maintained to an impeccable standard.

You will need to be a team player, a modern thinker and well presented. Wardrobe care, clothing preparation and valet duties are also required.

You must also have a hospitality background, preferably gained from working in a private residence in a similar role or having worked in a luxury 5* hotel.

The principal has multiple properties all over the world and will travel frequently so you will have periods of down time where general maintenance of the home can be coordinated with relevant contractors.

There may be occasional travel with this role where you may accompany the principal, but this can be discussed at interview.

FULL TIME – LIVE IN HOUSEKEEPERS. SWITZERLAND.

This wonderful role will be working for a young family based at their exquisite home in the Lugano region of Switzerland.

The role is Live-In, and accommodation will be provided in the form of a private self-contained apartment within the grounds of the residence.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient running and presentation of the principal’s home. The ideal candidates will be extremely well organised, adaptable and pro-active, with an excellent eye for detail. You must be confident in your ability, have great communication skills and be able to integrate seamlessly yet discreetly with the family. English and Italian speaking is desired.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a 5* Hotel, Private Yacht or Private Residence for a UHNW family. You must have exacting standards and present the principal’s home in the best possible way at all times. You will work along-side the Butler and will take direction to coordinate a continuous and effortless welcoming environment. You must be discreet, professional and immaculately presented at all times.

Your working hours will be discussed at interview, but we envisage these to be over a period of 5.5 days per week with a flexible approach to your work.

FULL TIME – FAMILY ASSISTANT / NANNY. CLERKENWELL

An exciting and rewarding opportunity to work for a young family living in Clerkenwell. The two fathers and a little boy of nearly 3, require an excellent role model to join their happy household. You will enjoy cooking nutritious meals, take great pride in keeping a clean house and offer exceptional childcare. Both parents work full time and occasionally travel on business, so overnight stays will be required. The parents would value the support of an assistant who has a professional and flexible approach to their work that will ultimately meet the demands of the family.

The role requires approximately 35hrs per week in total and will be split over the following components;

Part-time nanny: prepare child for nursery each morning and bring to school via bus (7-9am), then pick up from school and watch at home until the end of day (3:30/4-6pm). This component should require 20-25hrs per week.

Occasional cook: prepare approximately three to four dinners per week for the family while the child is at school. Meals do not need to be prepared each day; they can be made in advance and refrigerated/frozen so that the assistant does not need to return to the flat each day between school drop-offs. This component
should require 3hrs per week.

Twice weekly cleaning: light housekeeping (dusting, mopping, clean surfaces, change sheets) and laundry for the child and limited ironing for the parents, likely to be two days per week for approximately 3hrs per day. The family is very tidy, so this component should require no more than 6hrs per week.

Ad hoc overnight stays: required depending on parents’ work travel requirements, typically one to four Ad hoc overnight stays per month and compensation would be provided for these nights.

Full time child minding during school holidays/breaks: during half term breaks for which the family is in London and working, the assistant would be asked to look after the child from 7am to 6pm and will be compensated in addition to normal hours.
