FULL TIME – FAMILY ASSISTANT / NANNY. CLERKENWELL
An exciting and rewarding opportunity to work for a young family living in Clerkenwell. The two fathers and a little boy of nearly 3, require an excellent role model to join their happy household. You will enjoy cooking nutritious meals, take great pride in keeping a clean house and offer exceptional childcare. Both parents work full time and occasionally travel on business, so overnight stays will be required. The parents would value the support of an assistant who has a professional and flexible approach to their work that will ultimately meet the demands of the family.
The role requires approximately 35hrs per week in total and will be split over the following components;
Part-time nanny: prepare child for nursery each morning and bring to school via bus (7-9am), then pick up from school and watch at home until the end of day (3:30/4-6pm). This component should require 20-25hrs per week.
Occasional cook: prepare approximately three to four dinners per week for the family while the child is at school. Meals do not need to be prepared each day; they can be made in advance and refrigerated/frozen so that the assistant does not need to return to the flat each day between school drop-offs. This component
should require 3hrs per week.
Twice weekly cleaning: light housekeeping (dusting, mopping, clean surfaces, change sheets) and laundry for the child and limited ironing for the parents, likely to be two days per week for approximately 3hrs per day. The family is very tidy, so this component should require no more than 6hrs per week.
Ad hoc overnight stays: required depending on parents’ work travel requirements, typically one to four Ad hoc overnight stays per month and compensation would be provided for these nights.
Full time child minding during school holidays/breaks: during half term breaks for which the family is in London and working, the assistant would be asked to look after the child from 7am to 6pm and will be compensated in addition to normal hours.
• Previous experience in childcare and cooking for others.
• Professional references.
• Native Spanish speaker, as the family would like the child to be bilingual and would like only Spanish to be spoken within the home to compliment his English education in nursery.
Salary; £450-£500 Net per week.
